Good morning.

I am currently considering building a semi-detached house and am looking for ideas on how this could/should be constructed to have a sustainable building in the long term. Of course, it must also remain affordable.

On the internet and with construction planners, you often hear that "this one" is the best, depending on the preferences of the contact. Maybe someone here can share how they built theirs or what could be better/different, so I can get my own picture.

Many thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time for this!

Regards
Dirk

What do you understand by long-term sustainability? Complying with [KFW regulations]? Yes, it is expensive; whether it is worth it, everyone must decide for themselves.

Sustainable means durable? Without the following resource consumption? A [Stein auf Steinhaus] classic lasts 1000 years with proper care.

Wooden houses do too. The oldest house in Germany is a half-timbered house. Whether today's wooden frame houses with wood, straw, and clay can keep up is another question.

Sustainable for me means ... using as few resources as possible both in construction and in "living", and if then, preferably "renewable" ones. KFW gladly, but it's not about calculating but about actual consumption. Stone or timber frame is one of my questions, but wood then preferably with clinker... I would prefer companies from the region anyway and materials with low resource consumption as well
