Semi-detached house - Which one is the best? Who has experience with that?

My question was simple and understandable. How much can and do you want to spend on your dream house and what do plots of land cost for you?

Now you have already read from someone else that existing buildings are cheaper than new builds!

And there I am searching for the interface ... maybe give up the last 5% of sustainability and thus keep it within limits ...

Max about 600,000 I can. But I don't want to. About 30% of that will be the cost of the plot.

Now I'm curious ...

Even if you don't want to hear it: the interface is the existing stock, both economically and ecologically. Alone, 50% of the energetic production costs are contained in the shell construction. Or are you missing the social component of sustainable building here? A new building naturally demonstrates a different social status than the mere purchase of an existing property.

Then some info: New construction costs you about €2000/sqm, plus the price for the plot, at least that plus property transfer tax. Plus additional construction costs. Plus possibly a basement. Plus possibly a garage/carport. And that is not a high-end finish, but very average. Everything that brings special energy savings makes it more expensive. But not more ecological or sustainable.

This whole new construction super tight and economical, preferably heated with renewable raw materials is total nonsense marketing talk from people who make money with pseudo-green stuff.

- Building new is always less ecological than buying old, even if it were a passive house

- The additional insulation materials also have to be produced first, which costs energy

- If there is such a thing as ecological heating at all, then with solar and heat pump. But not with wood or other renewable stuff. That’s the flawed thinking.

But whether the info helps we only know once the land prices in your area are known, what your budget is and what used buildings cost and in what condition they are.

:Edit: Ah, while I was writing the budget question was answered.

No. It's not about having to rebuild ... But that is currently "my status" ...
