Since the system is heated via the installation, the supply air is in the floor. Warm air rises and does not fall. Exhaust air is, as usual, in the ceiling.

I don't think floor sockets go into the base slab, the housings are quite deep.

Don't lock yourself into one system. You work with the base slab that the builder can or knows.
