Selection of vinyl flooring for new construction

I was recently walking on a floor and it was vinyl floating installed (had to ask). It was wonderful. Did not notice anything negative. Also no smell detectable in the apartment without controlled residential ventilation.

So what is supposed to be the advantage of glued?

We have now been in the house for almost two months and have completely glued vinyl on the ground floor and upper floor. So far, we have not noticed any smell, nor has a third arm grown on us. The floor is low-maintenance and virtually indestructible. Even when the sun shines on the floor through our large living room windows, there is no smell or anything else noticeable. We would choose it again at any time. The advantage of gluing is that you can replace damaged planks at any time, since there is no tongue-and-groove system. Also, we were afraid that with floating installation something might move when the planks heat up...

Damaged planks can also be replaced on carriers.
