I just read the latest test of various ready-made floors on Ökotest. Not a single floor was contaminated, only one engineered parquet stood out due to slightly elevated values. Thanks for the tip.

Strange that I found newer ones that say something completely different. 2015 the last one. So it's hardly 2 years ago. But hey...you have to live with it. Why are you so upset? You are in favor of it, so live with the consequence. So what?

There are no consequences, walls do not breathe, and the Earth is not flat. If we agree on that, that is already a good first step.

But I really stirred something up there
But thanks already for the many answers.

I find it really confusing: in the 2015 test many of the floors score "very good" to "good," yet at the same time they link to a (their own) article from 2014 where they categorically reject PVC/vinyl as harmful to health.

If you look in the same article under "flooring tiles," you also first read: "Whether radioactive pigments in colored glazes of tiles from low-wage countries are still an issue is disputed."

So tiles can also be crap. It’s probably like everywhere: there are good versions (mostly more expensive) and bad (cheaply produced).

Only – I already thought that much before. I had hoped there would be detailed, current tests and recommendations. :/

Go to the chemistry lab and have it tested at your own expense, then you will have certainty. Since no one does that, we have to believe what the seals promise us and what the industry presents. And ultimately, everyone has to weigh it up for themselves.

Kronos Xonic was tested: Best Class A+ according to Eurofins. Certainly, there are a large number of parquet and laminate products that do not achieve this.
