The answer to the initial question is soberingly simple: It can be found by looking at the product datasheet, usually already indicated by a text note or a corresponding symbol (suitable for underfloor heating) on the outer packaging of the flooring planks! If no indication is found there, the planks are not advertised by the manufacturer for installation on a warm water underfloor heating system.

Every manufacturer claims that their product is super suitable.
As already mentioned... the vinyl is only one part, the impact sound insulation is another.

I can buy a very great winter jacket, but if I go outside with it and wearing socks, I will still freeze...

I’ll take the liberty of throwing my question in here, since we are currently facing the same decision. The screed is supposed to go in within the next few weeks, we need to determine the build-up height of the floor so that everything fits nicely and we can finalize everything this week.

My partner is absolutely enthusiastic about Wineo. We have already looked at it 1-2 times in the store and I can also very much relate to that. It will probably be Rigid Wineo 600. According to Wineo, their vinyl is very suitable for underfloor heating. Of course, one doesn’t just believe everything one is told. The datasheet says the following:

    [*]~ 0.05 (m²K)/W without underlay | ~ 0.06 (m²K)/W with silentRIGID
[*]silentRigid is the impact sound insulation and the thermal resistance there is specified as 0.01 (m² K) / W.

If I’ve understood everything correctly here, then it fits very well and is probably even better suited than parquet, etc.

Why the click version? We initially wanted to do the click ourselves, but the click material with insulation was €15/m² more expensive. For that price, we simply had the planks glued instead. Feels good, is significantly better in terms of thermal transmittance, and was less work. ;-)

Actually, only because we got a better offer, so we pay about €15 less per square meter if I lay the floor myself. However, I don’t quite trust myself to glue it. Clicking I can easily manage. We’re happy to save the €1500 here and decide to invest it in higher-quality stair treads.

And I’d like to do a little bit myself :)
