Dear Steffi, Yes, that’s how I envisioned it in a rudimentary way. The gas should only make up the rest and only up to 45 degrees. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t always have to heat immediately. But I can also say that our system was set up by the heating engineer from commissioning in such a way that it practically couldn’t utilize anything from the solar thermal system. This only came to light after a year during the first maintenance, when we chose the company ourselves and not based on who offered the cheapest price. The company that installed it here, in our perception, probably didn’t really know how to do it properly. Nevertheless, there are apparently factory settings that are simply still aimed at cheap gas and maximum comfort. Now would be a good time to tackle this again, also from Wolf’s side. May I ask who built it for you? Because everything sounds so similar. Now I will start by recording the gas level every day. I will write down what comes out on our side. I don’t dare to reprogram it myself, I’m no whiz with computers and I understand about as much about heating systems as a cow understands ice skating, sigh. If it couldn’t be programmed, there would still be the option of manual interventions, but we’re not at that point yet. The new stove has an impressive mechanism that regulates many things automatically because that is less polluting. So I have to be careful about what I override and where. Best regards, Gabriele

Can you disable the additional heating with gas or program it out? Is the code missing? They can be found on the internet and are often 0000, 1000, 9999

Great tip! Don’t you have [Solarziegel]? I’ve also been thinking about it to make use of the area and to support a heat pump.

We no. Only a heat pump. But with ours I can turn off the heating element. That's why I thought you might be able to turn off the gas.

How many cubic meters of consumption do you have per year, and how much living space?

I am on the go and don't know exactly. About 130 sqm and about 10,000 kWh. I don't have the cbm in my head. However, my better half often heats the open living area, which makes up about half the house, too warm in winter for me, that's about 23 degrees. Retirees sometimes sit around a lot :) So he can stoke the wood then, he has time. But 2 degrees less would be more comfortable for me anyway.
