No, not just because of that. I simply don’t want to build without a basement. I think it would annoy me every day.

I will probably have to say goodbye to the dormer. Such a pity actually ^^

You can also save on technology and equipment!
However, we don't know them.
But why a savings house without nice-to-haves, with compromises wherever possible, if the cost driver basement for storage options, possibly every trip to the basement leading to just quickly doing laundry or getting the vacuum cleaner, is not questioned?
8 sqm more living space on the ground floor and storage/laundry options on the upper floor at 6 sqm offer more for less money. That's just how it is.

Ralph Wiggum already figured that out: "There's not enough money in my piggy."
Increase the budget or make sacrifices on the house?

Making sacrifices on the house would mean no attic, no basement, no garage, no carport. White windows instead of tinted windows. Cheaper bathroom ceramics. Cheaper flooring and tiles.

Painting and flooring can be done yourself, but the money saved shouldn't be the difference between feasible and not feasible.

Yes, I believe you. But please don't crucify me right away just because the basement is the last thing I want to give up. I was just wondering if it might make sense to finish some rooms later, paint them myself, etc. When my uncle built his house 15 years ago, for example, he had no doors in the house for several months because he couldn't afford them and could do without them for the time being.
