Renew kitchen fronts

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you much more about the Metod start in the Netherlands than what I have already said. The trip to Ikea showed, as I already wrote, that there will be no change this year.

So if you want to take advantage of the border proximity or the upcoming autumn holidays:
Norje is cheapest in NL,
and besides, there is also RAMSJÖ available in black.

The Dutch kitchen catalog states on the front that prices are valid until and including 31.12.2013. ?!

I noticed that on all additional catalogs except the main catalog it says that prices in NL are only valid until the end of December 2013.
But I only noticed that at home, otherwise I would have asked again. Since probably not all areas ( Besta, cabinet series and bathroom furniture) will be subject to a system change?, the price validity on the kitchen catalog can mean everything or nothing, at least as far as Metod is concerned.

As for our decision regarding the kitchen fronts; it is still being discussed at the moment.

Hi,

I need, or rather want, new fronts. I have had the kitchen since 2004, but back then with the cheapest, the Ärlig fronts. I never really liked them, I would have preferred Abstrakt back then. But with three small children, we didn’t want to spend that much money on a kitchen and didn’t know how good the quality of the Ikea carcasses, hinges, and drawers was. We had doubts, which, however, have not been confirmed in everyday use.
Also, I didn’t want Whirlpool appliances.

So if I don’t want to grow old with Ärlig, I have to act before the introduction of Metod. In addition, the dishwasher and the sink cabinet front have water damage and actually have to be replaced anyway ).

For us, it was like this: I actually prefer Stat but my wife likes Lidingö better.
So we will take Lidingö in white.
How durable it will be in practice, we will see. At least we have not planned any immediate upper cabinets above the range hood. That is the most sensitive spot for the kitchen front.
You can enter your kitchen in the Ikea kitchen planner and then try the fronts in question.
Then you can better imagine how the fronts will look in your kitchen.

Lidingö is probably easier to maintain because it doesn't have as many grooves.

Done several times already, and we liked the aforementioned fronts best.
It's not just a question of looks, but also weighing which front is probably more durable. With the system change, I no longer have the possibility to renew the fronts easily.

We have now had Lidingö fronts for a year and are satisfied. It must be said that we are a two-person household that does not cook every day.
