Renew kitchen fronts

regarding the topic Abstrakt, I can basically only report good things. Abstrakt is a very durable and forgiving front if you "Attention" leave it alone!

Do not use any cleaners, do not use microfiber cloths or kitchen paper for wiping. If there are stains, wipe them off immediately. The best thing is to use a soft cotton cloth that you use exclusively for this, possibly a little dishwashing detergent solution, and that's it. Complaints with Abstrakt occur, if at all, only with incorrect, overly well-intentioned care and rough handling.

In general, the complaint rate for all fronts has become extremely low. IKEA has really caught up. At most, we are talking about defects in 2-5 year old versions, around dishwashers and range hoods, i.e. where moisture and temperature differences prevail.

PS: In case Norje is still an option. These are NOT possible in connection with [Blankett] handles. Exactly at the drillings of the handles is the seam of the frame.

great that I still got some feedback on Abstrakt. Yes, I have also read that foil and microfiber do not get along. If it becomes Abstrakt, I will probably have to relearn. Quickly wiping up bread crumbs with the dishcloth (of course micro) over the countertop and then the grease stain from the front is probably not possible.

Norje is still in the running, but the handles will stay. Lansa still appeals to me the most, and they are still okay.

We will visit Ikea this weekend and let the fronts make an impression on us again. However, since our eldest needs the trunk for her shopping, we cannot bring any fronts home yet. My husband only knows Ädel and Norje from the catalog; maybe he will like Abstrakt better in person, who knows.

We actually have to make the choice alone now, and whether you get tired of one front or another over time is something you can never say for sure beforehand.

I will try again to get an exact date from the employees regarding the system change.

since I am currently also into kitchen fronts, I brought along some informational material from my last Ikea trip.

Lidingö consists of an MDF board painted with acrylic paint. Stat and Applad are apparently constructed the same way. If you find too little information about yours online, just google the others.
Applad was also recommended to me as an alternative, but I found something about peeling paint there. I have no experience with painted Ikea fronts.

I have a few Applad fronts that I bought in 2004 and 2009. So far nothing has peeled off, but at a few corners the paint is worn off (about a circle with a 1 mm diameter). Unfortunately, I cannot say whether this happened due to daily use or was caused by the moving company, which damaged quite a few things. I find the polyester paint quite easy to care for. However, I must also say that in my case, some things show less damage after years of use than after being lent out once.
