First of all, for answering your question, it is relevant how even the existing tiled floor is.
If it is completely even, then
- Tile on tile works only with tile adhesive (done it myself)
- Please do not put parquet on tiles (not tried, would be too bad for the good parquet if it doesn't work due to slight unevenness or tile joints)
I would remove the tiles. Then check how even the floor is, possibly remove remaining tile adhesive (sand it down).
If the floor is good, then
- Glue tiles directly (done it myself)
- Glue parquet directly (done it myself)
Otherwise, work with leveling compound.
So in our case, tile on tile would be in the hallway and vestibule, adjacent to this is the living room, dining room, and kitchen (parquet is supposed to be laid here). If the tiles come up there, we have a height difference (about 10mm), can this be leveled with leveling compound?
Do you think the underfloor heating underneath won't get damaged, or the screed?
