Remove tiled floor or lay parquet/vinyl on top?

Now it's getting more concrete. We will probably remove the tiles ourselves (Eigenleistung), at least as much as possible. I have one quote now, and tomorrow I’m going to the house again with another craftsman who will also give me a quote. The first quote seems a bit high to me personally: filling + laying parquet + material (60 euros for the parquet, country house plank) = 130 euros/sqm (net), so pure filling/installation costs = 70 euros/sqm. Isn’t that a bit much? The removal of the tiles is not included since I am doing that myself. I had previously researched online and values between 35 and 50 euros were often mentioned, but it certainly varies regionally. What do you think? I’m curious what the floor layer will say tomorrow.

The professional has to expect that the floor will need intensive work if an amateur breaks out the tiles. In my opinion, the price is fair. Take a look at how you can define the transition between you and the floor layer, maybe there's still some room.

What exactly do you mean by defining the transition? The possible grinding off of adhesive residues and possibly repairing cracks in the screed is also not included yet. I think he’s already accommodating me here. He’s not laying the parquet himself anyway. He’s a kind of all-rounder who works together with various tradesmen. He would do more for us. For example, he lays the vinyl himself, but parquet is done by a specialized floor layer. I just don’t know how much he charges for the “mediation” here. Originally he said he would do it himself. But I have the feeling it’s a bit too much for him. Then I have to make a down payment upon order placement. About 10%, he said, even though the offer says 50%. I also find that a bit strange. I know that usually you pay for the completed sections. But I suspect that he wants to secure the contract bindingly with that.

That is what I meant, for example. The further scope of the work is also unclear from your description. Here is a differentiation suggestion with net estimated prices - almost off the cuff, keep in mind that Baden-Württemberg is potentially an expensive area and labor costs are significantly above the average of the federal states.
[*]Clean subfloor, prime, fill up to 2mm (may not be sufficient for you) approx. €12 [*]Additional filling work could be estimated hourly and stated as such or allocated to the price per sqm, €65 per hour [*]Filler material per kilo €2, if there is a lot to fill and level, several kilos per sqm may be needed [*]Parquet price for you €60/sqm [*]Cutting and installation €40/sqm (depending on area complexity) [*]Block strip in running meters with cutting (for you?) €18/m
I do not see that your service provider wants to profit unfairly from you; it looks like a fair offer price in terms of plausibility.

When I look at the list from , it matches very well for us - however, cutting and laying is significantly cheaper, so we come to just over 40€/m2 for all work.

What exactly should be filled on a floor? Remove the tiles, depending on the result sand a bit, then apply leveling compound and the preparation is done. Removing tiles is usually not really rocket science; you can manage it with a reasonably decent hammer in a few days, most of the work is hauling away the debris. The screed stays as it is?
