There are several options. Good? Well... - Carpet - Hardwood flooring etc. fully glued down - new tiles - coatings (béton ciré or similar) What exactly does that mean? 5mm or 10cm? 5€/sqm or 100€/sqm Remove old tiles, install new tiles or hardwood flooring.

we have actually been toying with liquid floor, microcement or leveling compound in concrete / industrial look.

currently the tiles are almost level with the
system of the sliding door to the outside (there is only a few mm clearance)

old tiles out? I thought that would be a perfect base for another covering?!

You can also easily put other tiles on it – but then you have a 20mm higher build-up again. And potentially a problem with doors / patio doors. And the transition to other rooms. Or the front door.

You asked for a good option that doesn’t bring any restrictions. And that only works with "tiles removed".

So with prices far beyond 100€/sqm. Not bad for "not a fortune" ;) . That would be a job that I – although I do almost everything myself – would rather have done in the living area.

Really? New tiles or parquet are cheaper there? But the material can't be that expensive?! It is just a kind of mass … Can the underfloor heating be preserved if the old tiles are removed?

It always depends on whether with or without own labor. Parquet or tiles with installation will not be cheaper.

Such microcement for DIY is probably around +/- 40-50€/sqm on the internet. You may first have to do some filling (depends on the condition of the floor) or use more material. Then maybe a primer/undercoat, then 2 times applying and smoothing the microcement. Then 2 times final treatment.
That is the basic standard. It takes quite some time (days, since everything always has to dry).
