My tip:

First of all, make clear to yourselves what you want to do professionally and where. After buying a property, you will literally become less mobile, because on the one hand you then have a permanent residence, which you usually cannot change as flexibly as a rented apartment, and on the other hand, due to the financing, you have a certain burden and responsibility and a job change is initially seen as more stressful, keyword protection against dismissal during the probation period.

I mean compulsory auctions, of course. No idea where my brain was this morning.

Forced auction is a tricky thing nowadays. An acquaintance participates regularly. But she is more than frustrated because the buildings are going for 2-3 times the market value to Berliners

Uff, that's tough, especially since depending on the buildings, another 150k can easily be added to make everything livable.
But well, the vacation days usually always remain anyway, so you can also go to a few auctions to get a feel for it.

Adults are people too. (With certain wishes and ideas) I don’t understand why children should be relevant. The question about children only arises when it comes to the number of necessary rooms.

We live in an area you requested, if someone here expresses to sell something, it goes away immediately, nothing appears on online portals. Whoever works in IT below minimum wage, unbelievable. The boss looked where you come from and offered EE salary.
