You would also only pull out if the property is actually junk. Then you're dealing with scoundrels who have already promised the blue sky in the ad and deserve no different. We're talking about an investment of several hundred thousand euros here. You can also pull the emergency brake then.

The fear of buying a property is one thing, but the fear of keeping the property is another.

I have been a property owner since I was 25 years old, the monthly payment is made on time, but now a new fear has arisen, the fear of not being able to keep the property.

Whether it is the economic crisis or the fear of getting sick, I am now thinking about insuring my income. I have a very well-paid job, but illness is unfortunately ever-present at my age.

How have you secured yourselves?

I have a disability insurance because I am a "high earner," so also a term life insurance, both my wife and I. It covers the biggest risks + in the worst case a house would be paid off and/or the family well taken care of, and I could provide well for the child.

But please don't flood the thread now with disability insurance topics - that would be nice.

I know what you’re describing there.
Since I’m a repeat offender, such statements scare me less, but rather show me that I am probably doing it right – FOR ME.
Financially, I am now more old-school, it used to be different, but in terms of design, I do exactly what suits me and what is possible. Many tell me that they wouldn’t do that anymore at my age. My answer is always the same: You don’t have to if it doesn’t suit you, we look forward to it and it’s a lot of fun for us to plan, choose, change...
Whether I would be without a chance, I’m not quite sure. I always search very consistently and decide on site if necessary, because I know my parameters and finances beforehand.
Because we want something very unindividual, it was practically impossible to find on the used market, otherwise we would have jumped on it immediately. Now it will just be like this....
