We also tried that, but it wouldn't have worked properly. You would basically enter through the bedroom door and immediately stand in front of the wall of the dressing room. In the architect's first plan, there was no window in the dressing room either, but I somehow didn't like that. Even though in the broadest sense it is just a slightly larger wardrobe, I do want natural light in it. Besides, I also don't like the exterior view if there is no window there, but only a large area of brickwork.

No, not an extra hallway in front of the dressing room, but through the adjacent dressing room. There is no wall there, but you walk past the cabinets into the sleeping area with a normally sized window (nothing without a window...).
A skylight is ideal for the dressing room, because when you're rummaging through your clothes you're not visible, for a bedroom it's an expensive makeshift solution from which you cannot look outside.
I'll say: the house is habitable and will work despite the shortcomings. The shortcomings being mentioned are not recognized as such, but are defended... doesn't matter.
