Ok, a wardrobe will indeed be difficult, you are right about that. And I hadn’t considered the escape route either. Thanks for that. The children’s room stays downstairs now and the office moves upstairs into the attic. There is enough space upstairs for 2 desks and a filing cabinet, and daylight and an escape route are provided by 2 sufficiently large dormer windows. And since there have been no real arguments for a solid roof so far, we will stick to the normal roof truss.

May I ask how these 11.76 sqm at a room height of 2.30 m are calculated?

But you are showing a Favorit Citylife 187 with 11 x 11 m and a 30 cm knee wall. Converted, in this house you were only (1.84 x 10/11, -0.30) 1.37 m tall, or you would have to build a 65 cm knee wall for a comparable height. Unfortunately, the one meter less edge length also torpedoes the possibility to place the stairs in the middle in your house.

Since no real plans have come in so far, the possibility of a solid hip roof could not be examined. In my case, with a now historical, standard school calculator. Given knee wall 0 and DN 35° = tan 0.7002075. Then 2.30 m are reached after 3.285 m from the outer edge – this applies all around for the hip roof. So, in the middle of 10.00 m, there remain 3.43 m edge length = 11.76 sqm. A gable roof (= two-sloped roof) would also offer 3.43 m width here compared to the hip roof (= four-sloped roof), but 10.00 m - 2 x 0.425 m = 9.15 m length = 31.38 sqm (= index 2.66). If that’s not an argument ... Provided necessary information, I am happy to form an opinion about the truthfulness of the building window and the like. ... must of course say "schön".

That was exactly the house :)
We are flexible with the knee wall since there are no height restrictions entered in the development plan. So we can also easily build with an 80 cm knee wall and vary the roof pitch.
We visited a house with a hipped roof again today, and we like it even better than the pyramid roof.
With the staircase, we have to be careful where we end up upstairs, as it affects the floors above.

We don't have any plans yet, we are currently in discussions. We only have a self-designed floor plan that I wanted to post here for discussion today.
Thank you very much for the explanation of the calculation method, learned something new again :)
The 2.66 for the gable roof is definitely an argument, there is no two opinions about that, we just can’t come to terms with the appearance of the GR right now.
Maybe for us a hip roof with a knee wall of 80 cm would be a good compromise.
