Ok, a wardrobe will indeed be difficult, you are right about that. And I hadn’t considered the escape route either. Thanks for that. The children’s room stays downstairs now and the office moves upstairs into the attic. There is enough space upstairs for 2 desks and a filing cabinet, and daylight and an escape route are provided by 2 sufficiently large dormer windows. And since there have been no real arguments for a solid roof so far, we will stick to the normal roof truss.Exactly. It then stands half in the room, offers a niche, but the effect/flair of an empty room is no longer given; instead, it rather feels like "there’s no other way"
