Does the attic chamber make it worthwhile? (Varus or Pyrrhus, plague or cholera, ...) You may return the favor right away: Where do you see the difference?

Unlike a tent roof, not all four sides of the roof are the same size since they do not meet at a single peak.
Thus, we would have the possibility to design the south side of the roof longer than, for example, the east side. Accordingly, more yield from the photovoltaics, as the larger roof surface faces south but still constant yield through coverage of east, south, and west.
And overall, the sense of space felt larger with the hipped roof. Unfortunately, I do not have exact data on knee wall height or roof pitch, but it was estimated to be at least 30 degrees roof pitch and, from feeling, comfortably 50-70 cm knee wall height.

I would have explained it a bit differently, but that is also accurate.

The south and north surfaces become larger if the east and west surfaces stand steeper, yes. However, that is often probably a lost cause.

It is indeed. With the gable roof, the roof sides standing perpendicular to the ridge (here aka gable) have, so to speak, a 90° roof pitch. :-)

We have a "lever house" with a massive roof, meaning the roof slopes are also made of Ytong - like the rest of the house. It creates a great indoor climate and heats up very slowly in summer.

We have no problems with sound insulation. I have known houses made of much denser materials where it was worse - at least not better. But those are old buildings (brick as the basic substance). Today it may be different for sure. But we also live relatively quietly.

Our architect also mentioned the indoor climate under the solid roof, in summer it is supposed to be less warm and in winter the heating warmth stays longer inside than with a non-solid roof. Is your solid roof a gable roof or a hip roof? With or without knee wall?

We have a gable/hip roof (so-called [Krüppelwalmdach]) with a knee wall ... :D Nowadays, the roof slopes are certainly insulated in such a way that, in terms of heating warmth, it would be at least the same.
