Pool in the garden? - Need inspiration!

We are currently building a house and wanted to - once the project is finished - try to have a pool in the garden. What are your experiences? Can it be done yourself? Which type of heating have you chosen? How did it go for you?

Hello Christina, where and what are you building? The easiest way is to include the pool right away during the construction. That also saves costs.

When building, lay water, electricity, sewage, etc. at the same time. Pools range from to.... For a normal size of about 8x4 meters, assume at least 25k€. Equipment in the house or separate equipment? You can theoretically do a lot yourself. But if you have no experience, it is more likely to go wrong.

Our pool has been heated so far with solar panels on the roof. That has worked well. Now there is renovation and [Photovoltaik] will be installed on the roof, so we want to get a heat pump for the pool. Advantage: you can heat well even with little sun.

If you want to tackle this after the house construction, make sure that a digger can still get to the back at all. Consider connections directly during the earthworks.
