Pool in the garden? - Need inspiration!

Without a cover you lose a lot of heat and also more water loss…

How is the heat loss through the pool walls and floor actually prevented, how is it insulated? Is there a difference between the construction methods? Our current plan involves concrete with a liner, but it is still a draft.

Insulating the pool towards the floor makes sense. However, it is only done in the higher-quality range. We insulated the floor and walls. I believe it is 40mm XPS.

If your pool will come in at the earliest in 10 years, I wouldn’t prepare too much. Penetrations from the house and large empty conduits up to the pool position. Drain connection also there. Later, you can pull electricity, water, etc. out.

Just a question, our house is finished, the outdoor facilities have not yet started, except for the L-bricks for securing the property.

How complicated would it be to undertake (retroactively) necessary work for a pool now?

Since our property is relatively small, we would like to have a pool installed directly next to the terrace. It may sound silly, but at the beginning, we planned a lot more budget for some work than we ultimately needed. Therefore, the idea came up to possibly pursue the dream of the pool before it is too late in terms of the outdoor facilities..
