That’s right. You become a slave and a chemist at the same time. (even with a above-ground pool…)

Especially with an above-ground pool. With automatic dosing of pH and inorganic chlorine, the effort is minimal. With tablets (organic chlorine), on the other hand, you have to change the water and measure the free chlorine… With above-ground pools, the filter technology is always undersized. Therefore, plan correctly from the start and enjoy. For cleaning, a pool robot.

But then you quickly go well beyond 25k, that should be mentioned. Since I didn't want to enslave myself either and my budget was around 15-20, I gave it up. I prefer to go to the outdoor pool with the kids and to the sauna in the evening. There I get refreshments and cool infusions. A pool definitely has style. And if you indulge in the luxury of full automation, then it's relaxed too.

The dosage costs between 1000-2000 euros. For example, VonProkon ip. If it fails because of that, a pool is not an option anyway. Costs for electricity, water, chemicals… a pool is really a luxury.

If I were that rich, my caretaker would take care of it or I would hire a pool boy. :D

I know someone who also built a pool for 10-15k - I think it took about a year of DIY, really massive effort - the liner was leaking etc. He’s constantly talking about what he has to fix on the pool again. Fun fact: They live 200 meters as the crow flies from the local outdoor pool, a day pass costs less than 5 euros. Everyone can draw their own conclusions :D
