Pool in the garden? - Need inspiration!

Not all above-ground pools. Sometimes there are some that come with a decent sand filter pump. With the cartridge filters that come with them, you don't stand a chance.

Even all the sand filters (e.g. Steinbach) are toys.

I think the sand filters are fine for the small pools. They have much less volume than your pool. How much power does your filter have and what is the total volume of the pool?

It's not about my pool. The amount of sand in the small filters is too low. Also for the small above-ground pools. My pool has 115m3. It is either circulated 24 hours at a low level (20m3/h) or 12 hours at a higher level (about 30m3/h). During the pool party, it is sometimes set even higher. We operate well above the lower limit. We have a highly efficient adjustable pump with magnetic coupling. The filter contains about 400kg of sand. The larger the pool volume, the more stable it is. The warmer it is, the more you should circulate. Only moving water is good water. Three times daily is optimal.

So I don't understand what is insufficient about the sand filter pump. The pool is 4x2mx1m filled to about 90%, so somewhere around 7 cubic meters of water. Pump capacity 3 cubic meters per hour Sand 8.5 KG

We use these practical cotton balls in our system. It is designed for 10,000 liters. We have roughly 7 cubic meters. The pump ran 2 hours a day every year, during midday. When there were many people inside, there was an extra round. Although this little gem stands in the blazing sun all day, nothing has gone bad, with hardly any use of chemicals.
