Oh, it's not that bad. We still use an above-ground pool. Every few weeks (depending on temperature and usage) a tablet goes in, and that's it. The generously sized filtration system runs for 2 hours daily. That way, we get through the summer easily. With a larger pool, you really need to put in a bit more effort. That's simply too much water. Or you carefully consider the dimensions. Does a pool have to be for swimming, or do you mostly splash around and a round recessed steel tub pool with a 4m diameter and 1.20m depth is sufficient?

Thank you very much for your information!

Direct participation is not possible due to the current increase in construction costs. An outdoor pool is likely to be implemented in about 10 years.

We are thinking of a standard size. So about 800x400x150. Then preferably already with a heat pump and counter-current system. The technology must be housed outside (e.g. pool house).

Our building services currently are not designed for the treatment of pool water. Ergo, the infrastructure for the pool technology must be completely independent of the building services.

So would you recommend maybe already laying underground cables and fresh water as well as wastewater connections? Does anyone know what costs to expect here?

If you can do it and do it right, it’s really something nice. It’s not about the 5€ day ticket or the 15k€ for the pool.

I find a natural swimming pool or bathing pond exciting. How much does something like that cost and from what size can one even consider it?

well, since a natural pool requires more space than a regular pool, it will probably not be feasible for many. Natural swimming pond is the same. What do you mean by size... the m², or the construction costs?

m². So how big does the thing have to be at least for the biofilter self-cleaning thing to work
