The material is now fixed. It will be a pool made of waterproof concrete and it will be painted with pool paint. According to the pool builder, this is the solution that makes the most sense in terms of cost and durability. The pool technology will be housed in the basement 3 m away. There is a large, hardly used basement room, from which a small chamber will be separated by drywall.I’m also just thinking about planning a mini pool (more like a kind of seating pool for chilling). The view from that spot is wonderful, the garden is definitely big enough, so ideal conditions. Once the house is built, you would only be able to get to the garden with heavy equipment via detours.
I’m still undecided about the material. I thought the easiest would be to have the thing excavated and concreted during the shell construction. Then tiled inside, possibly with green-blue mosaic tiles. I think that looks best.
Regarding the pool cover, since it was also discussed here: A rolling safety cover will be installed that does not touch the water. It will be supported by aluminum pipes resting on the pool edge. Since the pool is only 6 m² in size, I consider this the most sensible solution. The cover will be rolled up with a hand crank. I did not want unnecessary and complicated technology; it’s not worthwhile for such a small pool.
I still have to think about the sensible usability of the pool in winter. However, the pool will probably simply be shut down in winter, i.e., the water lowered below the skimmer and no cover.
