I have pushed the staircase a bit further toward the top of the plan. This results in the staircase section having a 2m partition wall plus just under 130 cm at the head of the stairs.

What is so horrible about the bathroom? Ideal .. sink by natural light .. toilet is separate, a really large shower, tub set forward enough to get out without a headache, and nice niches for bathroom cabinets.

Slightly adjusted version: (also moved the office door again, creating a nice corner in the hallway).

Personally, I find the sofa too big for the house's external dimensions. Basically, you really need a quarter of the ground floor layout for it.

I still prefer the way the staircase leads upstairs; the straight staircase makes sense because you come into an airy area with natural light, which you can also see from below.

Furthermore, I find storage room doors that open into the living area look like a makeshift solution. And that in a new house.

So it won't get better for us in the living room with the furniture and the huge couch either.
In your bathroom, I don't like that when you enter, you look into the cabinets in the niches and then see the bathtub and the toilet and have to guess where the washbasin is! The one you use most often with the toilet and would actually expect understandably at the beginning of the bathroom.
But once again, you can see that tastes differ.

I think I'll move the staircase a little because of the headroom when going down, and then it should be fine.
I think we will survive the compromise with the hallway on the upper floor and manage downstairs like this.
I would have liked to build a bigger house, but financially, it's just not possible to make it any bigger.

I think everyone knows that everything has its limits, and we have found a good compromise for us between house, plot, and amenities.

I thank everyone who gave us tips and especially kbt09 for their effort and diligence here in the forum.

When everything is finished, I will take pictures of my bathroom in its completed state.

It will forever remain incomprehensible to me that one spends 200,000 euros and more, much more, and builds a house around a couch that is too big and makes compromises for it. I did not do that in my rented apartment, but I would NEVER do it in my own property.

Also, I will not understand where the difference lies that the WC is once located at the bottom left of the plan and once at the top left (with you) and why one can see one from the door and the other not.

And, in my bathroom solution, you have at least 80 cm to the cabinet when you enter. But you accept going up a staircase and walking towards a narrow slope that is somewhere there without daylight. No, all I can do is shake my head.

I still have a question/comment about the shower bathroom downstairs. All doors on the ground floor are 1m wide, except this one. In principle, it is good that all the doors are wide (keyword barrier-free), but this should also be applied to the bathroom. This way, even in old age, one has the chance to move completely into the ground floor.

Hello,

All doors on the ground floor are planned to be 1.01 m wide with me, exactly for the reason you have already mentioned. What you mean was the modified floor plan of kbt09.

Good morning,

here: the door to the ground floor bathroom is 88.5 cm wide.
And the post came from you, hence my question. After that, no other floor plan came from you.
