Why is it too small for a storage area? A 30 cm deep shelf to hold all sorts of things as well as space for a vacuum cleaner, mop, etc. fits wonderfully on one side there.

Our storage room currently certainly isn’t any bigger. It contains: freezer, beer crates, vacuum cleaner, cleaning bucket + mop, pantry shelf, cooler box, supplies of toilet paper and kitchen rolls. Currently behind the door there is still a load of empty moving boxes and a dismantled cupboard. Also 2 plants. When you have little space, such a room is worth its weight in gold. I wouldn’t give it up to separate the toilet from the bathroom.
