Place house, garage / carport on the property

I would seriously consider getting another property somewhere before being the cause of a family feud.

If one could get something in the nearby area at the moment.... I wouldn't have thought it would get this bad. What could I do with these 80m²? Sure, maybe a carport someday, but in the near future? I'd rather plant a 20m high tree...

Seriously, paving costs me €2000 more, which doesn't have to be.

Sorry, don’t understand what you mean by the 80m²? Can you make a sketch? Where would the relatives’ house be suitable then?

Here you go. The red-outlined area marks the dead zone between the garage and the driveway. At least 7m distance to the property boundary would be approved.

That also means for us that we have at least 30m² more to pave.

The driveway is shifting to the east, not to the south? If I keep 3m distance to the western street, I also have to pave 3m there. If I have 7m distance, I naturally have to pave 7m as well.

4m additional distance to the junction x 7m width for the yard x €25 per m2 for the paving = €700

Ok, maybe the driveway will be a bit longer - but you won’t have to worry about where guests are supposed to park their cars. Besides, you already know where the trash bins could be placed well... quickly park bikes, clean the car, set up a workbench to saw something... such a paved area is very useful.

If it’s so important to the relatives, let them pay the extra effort...
