Actually true. Our consideration was that the children have the quiet towards the garden and we parents hear something at night if we sleep towards the street.
We do not know what kind of street it is and how far it is from the house. I see a reflection, possibly a room change. Children can handle more than one thinks, sensitivity only comes with age. I also would not install a floor-to-ceiling window in the bathroom facing [Rtg Straße], with a garden location you do not have as many views.
... mirroring also immediately caught my attention because of the children's rooms.
However, mirroring means that the ground floor also needs to be rethought. But that might actually make sense, because currently I find there is a lot of traffic space that doesn't really have any use.
One could consider making the utility room smaller. Because with mirroring, the stairs move further down the plan and then after the stairs on the ground floor there would be a dedicated house technology room. That would also bring it closer to the mirrored bathroom upstairs.
We need a utility room of at least 9sqm as a cellar replacement... So making it smaller is definitely not an option. What do you mean by space that has no use?
But in your utility room there is also the building services; if you separate that from the utility room function, then for example maybe 7 sqm utility room and 4 sqm building services are sufficient. What exactly is supposed to be accommodated in the cellar replacement? And what else should be stored in the rear part of the garage?
That’s why the approach is to reconsider the entire corridor etc. So maybe start with mirroring the upper floor; this will give the staircase a new position and then continue.
The corridor is 167 cm wide and 650 cm long up to the second wardrobe. That’s almost 11 sqm with a small wardrobe in the front area.
Should the garage be for 2 cars? Or 1 car and bicycle parking for all family members?
