You have a kink in the property boundary and a narrow plot – why does your planner come up with right-angled designs, even though the plot screams for a kink in the house?

Cars parked one behind the other just doesn't work; you won't be happy with that in a rear position unless you both drive the same car.

In this case, I would also seriously consider using the building rights up to the last TZ, so also think about a [Baulast/Abweichung] to gain more design freedom.

I completely agree with you 100%. If the plot is already that narrow, it should be used as best as possible. Apart from the windows, the house already almost has the character of a terraced house, the living-dining area would be clearly too small for us and the kitchen is also very small...

Thank you already for your comments. However, the fact is that we cannot change the plot and we are also fine with the square meter size of the house as currently planned.

But a bend in the house? Seriously?! Please keep in mind that we only have a building envelope of 7.6 m x 12.6 m. This is also confirmed in the building permit notice. I would rather not deviate from this building envelope so that there is no rejection. Besides, that will probably also become significantly more expensive, right?

Apart from your dislike of this building envelope and the narrow shape of the house, are there any constructive suggestions regarding the layout of the rooms?

Please don’t be mad at me, but I have noticed in several threads that people first write about everything that looks sh***y and how they would never build something like that. It takes a while before constructive suggestions regarding the actual question come in. I can take criticism and am open to suggestions of any kind, but in this case, please consider the external dimensions of the house as given.

Regarding the garage: Yes, that is indeed an issue that bothers me too. I would have liked to have a 6 m wide garage to park side by side. Now I have been to the building authority and spoken with the officer who approved the building permit. We will now move the house 2 m towards the forest/south, so we will have 5 m of space between the house and the property boundary. Then I can put a 5 m x 7 m garage/carport there. In an emergency, you can also park side by side. It will be tight, but usually we would probably park one behind the other. Friends of ours have it like this as well, and they manage just fine.

Do I understand this correctly now? How do you want to park 2 cars one behind the other in 7m length? In our garage, 2 cars also only fit one behind the other, but usually one car will stand outside anyway, there are then still 3-4 parking spaces...

No, there should only be one car in the carport/garage. The other one then in front. If necessary, the cars could possibly be placed side by side. There might also be a storage room at the back of the carport/garage. Or my motorcycles could find space there. How long the garage or the carport will be is not yet precisely determined.
