Who says that only pasta or Thermomix is "cooked." Basically, it has nothing to do with cooking. When someone says "cooking," you can take it seriously at first. At least, that's how I maintain it in a conversation...

The comment annoys me because of its factual inaccuracy. I cook daily. Elaborately for celebrations. Food is seared with high heat. There are meatballs. Fish. A lot is really done, the kitchen is a workspace at these times. Others do it similarly. No one has a problem with odors when using recirculation. Provided the person spends more money on the performance with recirculation than with exhaust. That it doesn’t work or has to do with cooking is still: nonsense.

That you have no problem with odors is due to your personal sensitivity. A recirculating fan can never eliminate all odors. It bothers me.

We have Miele recirculating system with activated carbon filter. The odors are not satisfactorily removed there. Maybe it is also because Miele sells bad stuff and there are better manufacturers. However, it is more likely that such an activated carbon filter only manages part of the odors. Frying produces a lot of smoke, and where should it go with recirculating air? Several kitchen builders have also confirmed to me that they personally only want exhaust air for this reason.

Are you bothered by small amounts of food smells while cooking?
Cook something that smells good! Tastes better too

well overall I don't really care either, cook maybe 2x a month and mostly prefer to eat out at restaurants and the kitchen is just for looks

I’d be interested in some photos... You’ve never posted anything here before, right? If the kitchen is supposed to be a visual highlight, then go ahead in the kitchen pictures thread
