Open kitchen: exhaust or recirculation in controlled residential ventilation & KfW55

Hello, I read the thread with interest because we are in the middle of kitchen planning. The kitchen is just under 18m2, finished room height 2.85m, KFW55 but no central ventilation. We also want recirculation. The hood will be over an island and a 90cm gas cooktop. I am currently pondering whether a chimney hood, a hanging hood, or even a ceiling hood. What now works because of the room height / is effective but also doesn’t look too ugly (a huge drywall element from the ceiling is also not optimal)... I would like to hear about 2/3 models that could do a good job. When I go to Novy’s homepage, I am confused, I see nothing with 1000 cubic meters, only max 600 to 700 cubic meters, probably far too low. We don’t need a designer piece for €5000, I just want something that works well. Thanks tauber19

The cable for the extractor hood over the kitchen island hung for 5 years, 2 weeks ago we hung a lamp on it, we don't need a hood.
