Which floor plan are you referring to?

Whether office or HTR in the south, I don’t really care at the moment... the sizes just have to fit.

The other way around, HTR (storage) and kitchen would also be quite "far" apart.

The access path for the neighbors is not really comparable to the party mile on the Hamburg Ku-damm. Hedges and shrubs provide privacy and still allow sunlight. Therefore, I would not mirror the house, but place it exactly as it is:

Terrace only at the back facing the garden. (Street at the bottom of the plan)

Since it is a narrow plot, you will have to live with that one way or another, and also with the fact that the neighbor can see you sometimes. But that is not a problem.

Hello Katja,

But on the left (south) the access path would run directly.
So terrace doors don’t make sense there.
And unfortunately, there is no space for privacy screens there either.

It’s not about the neighbor for me, it’s the access path for 6 units (3 semi-detached houses) at the back with cars, bicycles, and pedestrians.
I definitely want to close it off a bit (so only windows), max. access to the utility room.

P.S.: Berlin: Ku´damm
Hamburg: Reeperbahn

Especially if you also want to store supplies in the HTR, it has no business being in the south at all. We have already had the discussion about a [Speis] located in the south here... Kaho, since it is a long, narrow plot, I would take the external dimensions into account and prefer to make it long rather than tall.

So is the plan now bottom south (as it should be) or is south plan left????

Oops. That's exactly what I mean! I don't understand. The terrace facing the garden at the back is clear. But on the left in the south and on the right in the north, there is at least 3 meters for a hedge each. You could also put up a privacy fence – there are not only ugly ones. With an 11m building window, I would try to plan a house width of 8.50m to 9m. That would give 5m to 5.5m to the hated access path of the neighbors. I would not place the terrace in the south. Nevertheless, I would include floor-to-ceiling terrace doors or windows in the south for the light.
