We have planned a controlled residential ventilation system (kontrollierte Wohnraumlüftung).

Thank you again for the many responses and opinions.

We have planned it so that this wall will be made of drywall and if it really bothers us this much, this wall could be (more or less) quickly removed. We are also considering leaving the wall out altogether.

In an "emergency," one could go through the door between the kitchen and dining table.

Yes, I actually don’t like that quite yet either. The fact is: we want the terrace to be covered (which, of course, takes light away from the rooms inside) and somewhat (noise) protected from the street to the east. If we put it on the south side, we would lose this protection and it would be darker inside as a result.

Regarding the pool: it is only drawn in so that you can see where it is supposed to be someday. It will not be done right away ;=

We want the access from the garage via this "airlock" where we have our cloakroom. The cloakroom in the hallway is mainly meant for guests.

Basically a tiled roof? Why not a terrace covering with a glass roof, for example.

I would not plan the toilet upstairs separately from the bathroom. It is often the case that you are standing half-naked in the bathroom, just about to shower or having just showered, applying lotion, etc., and then need to go to the toilet... and then? For example, the children have friends visiting, you cannot walk half-naked through the hallway and are out of luck. With small children, you don’t have these "problems" yet, but later friends also visit late in the evening. For this reason, we also have a children's bathroom because we wanted our own bathroom that can be used without having to go out into the hallway.

Best regards Sabine

I also find a glass roof more beautiful as a terrace cover because it allows you to sit in the sun if you want to. Unfortunately, we can't judge how the street noise is heard on the south side. If you say it's not acceptable, that is of course a pity.

Where is all the building technology actually supposed to go? If you plan it in the garage extension: check whether all of that is possible outside the thermal envelope at all. I think there are too many doors to and in the garage/extension. Are they all necessary? You even have some accesses twice. Remember that a door between house and garage must be a fire door. For less congestion and a more open feeling, I would leave out the wall between the entrance hall and the cloakroom.
