So my reserve is more due to the fact that I do not sufficiently "understand" modern art with measurements and nothing else written on it, rather than that I could comment on it in a qualified manner. I consider it the duty of the questioners to make sense of the paintings.

Is it more understandable this way, or have I forgotten something?

The upper floor is better now. Because of the slanted walls, everything looked very outdated before.
Still: I wouldn't like the ground floor. But personally, I also don't like these crooked walls.
That's why I'm rather reserved now, because I can't do anything with this house.
It's just big, but without any flair. The office with less than 10 sqm hardly stands in relation. For me, the open space is uncomfortable.
Regarding the kitchen: if there's a seating bench, it should be continuous. But then there is no patio door. The island is too far from the rest at 2 meters.

Why does every window have a different size?

Such a floor plan for a city villa has been thoroughly tested. Why not fall back on that instead of reinventing the wheel?
You don't have a difficult plot where a solution has to be found.

You can't be serious and then you do that, also quite a long way?

To the ground floor .. distance between sink/cooktop is quite large

I find it quite okay, the children's rooms are just not in the south, but the bedroom is. If you prefer it that way, so be it. The slant on the ground floor is not really my thing either - everything is just a bit old-fashioned. The purpose of the bay window on the ground floor is completely unclear to me. It’s probably mainly to burn money so that the budget is used up. But it’s not harmful either. What I definitely wouldn’t do is the staircase wall on the ground floor. You have a separate hallway. Leaving the basement stairs open immediately creates more spaciousness. Or does that have some energetic reasons?

Good morning and thank you for your feedback.

We have looked at many house brochures, model parks, and websites. We took note of this and that, but there wasn’t a design we liked.
Therefore, we started planning ourselves, or rather hired an architect. We’re currently a bit disappointed with him. We are planning more on our own now, which is noticeable...
The living/dining/kitchen area is our main living space and therefore the largest room. We want to be able to set up a long "table."

We also find that the flair is missing here. However, we haven’t come up with anything better yet.
Hence the bay window in the kitchen. I want to integrate this as something 'special,' even if it’s a money pit, as kaho pointed out and we are also aware of. The fireplace should also enhance the room and, of course, the view of the garden. But unfortunately, the certain something is still missing here.

Therefore, we considered installing a second door to the bathroom. Does anyone here have experience regarding the noise? Are there soundproof doors that make sense?
The distance in the kitchen should be narrower? What is a standard measurement here? We want to use the floor-to-ceiling window for groceries, etc.

We have planned the wall at the stairs for energy reasons, as Kaho correctly suspected. In addition, an open guest cloakroom can be installed here.

Best regards
