Here is a Google image. The entrance is clearly visible. It matches quite closely with 11ant's assumption. The rectangle is approximately the property

Hello everyone,

we have decided to rotate the house as in V2, so that the roof orientation will be west-east.
Thank you for the suggestions and recommendations.

A few more comments on the opinions
- Garage-house passage: We want to have it regardless of the amount of rain. We find it practical.
- Kitchen location: My wife would like the kitchen to face the street so that you can notice what is going on there. I don’t mind, we discussed it a lot here, but she prevailed. With the large windows facing east, there will also be beautiful morning sun. We would like to arrange the kitchen so that we can also have breakfast there. Also, lots of windows to the south. Currently, the corner solution is being drawn, but that might change after consulting with the kitchen studio.
- Net wall is possible.

Attached is the current draft, which we already find quite perfect.
What do you think???

A special question:
What kind of windows would you choose for the upper floor? Floor-to-ceiling, knee-height, or rather classic window sill height of about 80 cm?

Thanks again in advance.

Should the kitchen be like in the plan? If the kitchen is 4.60m wide according to the plan, subtracting the two rows on the right and left (-1.20m) leaves 3.40m. If you only calculate 1m per passage, about 135cm plus side panels remain for the island. How many people should sit at the island? A cooktop also doesn’t fit there.

I basically think it’s quite good. Is the box within the budget? This open bathroom to the dressing room would personally bother me, and I think the huge shower is nonsense unless you’re a wheelchair user. But those are minor issues.

Think again about the layout on the upper floor. One of the children's rooms could become very dark while you are facing south. Bathroom: It is always an individual matter, but I find two doors incredibly impractical! At the latest when the children are teenagers, they will always lock both doors. Then you still have to go through the hallway. Or when they have guests! I also find the location of the shower right next to the door not very appealing. Of course, your floor plan is set up in such a way that the doors will be unlocked anyway and everyone can go in and out. But then you don’t even have peace in the shower? And when drying off, you get hit by the door! (If you now say that the door will always be locked, I would urgently reconsider the second door!).

Thank you for the quick and good feedback.

I think we will reconsider the door between the bathroom and dressing room. Somehow it is practical, as otherwise you would have to walk all the way around the dressing room. Do you have any suggestions?

We had also initially swapped the toilet and shower in the upstairs bathroom, with the toilet right at the door.

The location of the children’s rooms should remain the same. We want to make use of the beautiful bay windows. We are aware that the right room is less bright - that is the compromise.

The kitchen is not finalized yet. Consultation was postponed due to corona. But I share the concerns. The elf window is also not fixed. It looks nice, but is impractical for the layout. Let’s see what the kitchen designer says. The row on the left side of the plan may possibly be omitted...
