... How long have you been living in the house?

And if they sold their house on that date, then that is not a reason for a termination due to personal use. Because your landlords do not have personal use on that date and the new owners then have to terminate, they have basically bought your lease agreement.

The landlords are selling the single-family house in which they live. Our apartment is in a different multi-family house. The landlords will basically be on the street from August, but they do own our rental apartment. Sorry, I had not explained that. We have been living here for less than 2 years. So, 3 months' notice period.

Best regards

Yes, that is of course unfortunate. Above all, they can terminate immediately at the moment they have effectively sold their house and thus also by 31.07. They just have to provide a proper reason, but that should not be difficult.

Does anyone else have additions for my property checklist?

It's not that simple. For example, if there are comparable apartments available for rent, asserting personal use can be difficult.

There’s nothing, otherwise we could just move there, which would then be moving costs that are simply wasted. I’m stepping on it now and before I sign, I’ll check again what the landlords say.
