And is the topic of a city villa without an attic floor settled?
I’m just asking!
My parents live in 160 sqm and are 75 and 77 years old. My mother would probably not take less than 90 sqm alone (later in an apartment)... but ok: that is the standard one is used to.
But this has to be questioned here a bit. Often scenarios with parents are planned here, and upon inquiry they are only 63 and don’t yet know their luck that their retirement provision is being planned into their children’s house.
What do we offer the grandparents – being able to live under one roof with the family, who are on site when help is needed and don’t have to drive for hours to assist. Then the possibility to step out of the house and be immediately in the garden. On the third floor, that’s significantly more difficult with a walking aid. And even if you believe that you can still pull trees out at over 70 – that is by far not the case. In the worst case, it may even be that only one grandparent will move in... and then 45 sqm or more are available for a single person.
