And many thanks to hampshire for the praise of my amateur draft. Actually, I hope that a professional can still get something out of it. I also don't know if, for example, the floorboard isn't much too narrow or something like that. I lack the ability to internally visualize the design as a "real object".

What does "positive in terms of funding" mean? I just fear that then all the other rooms will be much smaller with a second entrance area...

Then dare to show the upper floor as well (or: then dare to also show the upper floor) Measurements really help to assess such things. More subsidy incentive with a granny flat. But from my point of view, being a landlord in a lot size of one residential unit is at best a tempest in a teapot.

KFW 153 - Energy-efficient building - provides funding per residential unit. Be sure to check the requirements for when the second residential unit is also recognized as such.

Unfortunately, I haven’t dared to tackle the upper floor yet. I don’t know the best way to place the rooms there. The children's rooms will definitely be on the south side, but everything else – no idea. I’ve already read something about the downpipes, bathroom on the upper floor above the bathroom on the ground floor, and similar things, but I’m out of my depth there... I’m happy to receive your suggestions here.
