if it's as true as I think.

"Open construction", no contiguous groups of buildings longer than 50 meters. So detached single-family house, semi-detached house, and terraced house. Possibly also multi-family house.

The opposite would be block or slab construction.

Open construction is open construction. But what does the Z in the usage template mean???

Maybe a relic from a past time when the building authority marked the "Z" allowable construction method with the same letter? And neighboring building areas are newer and therefore no longer get a "Z"?

So, today I called the planning office of the building supervisory authority and asked what the stencil and the Z are all about. The Z still stands for > Permissible number of floors and is an error within the usage stencil
