42 k for 550 sqm is really a strong price. It is quite possible that the outdoor area will be more expensive. Thank you for the feedback.

Well, the tiles that also often cost 50€ in the specialty store (which really isn't hard), are exactly what in comparison to the parquet? They are no different. Both "luxury." If you choose wide plank flooring or other large formats / patterns, then luxury.

P.S. Click vinyl from Bauhaus also often costs around 35€. So much for cheap goods.

I also don’t know if the floor coverings always “make a big difference.”

As a rule, almost no one reaches for the €10 laminate from the hardware store (at least not for living spaces, etc.).

Whether €50 for the tile or €60 for parquet (or maybe even the other way around?) is not particularly decisive either...

What matters is the amount of luxury and especially the decision for “big” cost factors like the size of the house, basement, controlled residential ventilation, garage, large photovoltaics, fireplace + stove, windows and doors, staircase...

With the other things, you can then save and see what you want.

We could do without controlled residential ventilation, we haven’t had it so far and I don’t miss it. Oven and fireplace are not desired either. The staircase should be made of lacquered beech with oak treads and risers. Basement as a pure utility cellar.

I think based on your experience it could work with 950k to 1 million.

Since you probably don’t have a new build, it’s hard for you to say whether you can/want/may do without controlled residential ventilation? Houses today are so airtight - you can hardly ventilate manually. I would definitely recommend it.

You can leave out the stove/fireplace - it doesn’t really bring you any added value anyway. The romance is missing because after 10 minutes you have to throw the doors wide open since it just gets way too warm.

We also have the basement as a purely utility basement. With a 140 sqm house size as you plan, definitely totally reasonable in my opinion. Even though many would try to save money on it - for me, the added value is there.

Since you want to build with a basement, you might be able to build it partially into the slope and not have to retain anything at all.
