We have controlled residential ventilation, recirculation, and a room air-independent fireplace. The fireplace seller shifted the decision regarding the pressure monitor to the district chimney sweep. Of course, I wouldn’t need one – that was his statement.
In the tenders regarding electricity, procurement and installation did not want any electrician to take it on, as if it were uncharted territory.
Fortunately, our controlled residential ventilation (Zehnder ComfoAir) has an emergency shutoff, and the chimney sweep had just attended a training course at Zehnder and was aware of this.
Therefore, we do not need a pressure monitor.
I believe the chimney sweep was just as happy about this as we were.
