Hello everyone,
I’ll join in here. We don’t have a new building, but in our renovation, the topic of the doorbell system is now on the agenda.
We bought a two-family house. The house has 2 full floors, an attic that has been converted, and still considerable potential in the loft. The idea is to use it as a single-family house now and later convert the loft and then offer it together with the attic as an apartment, just as the ground floor + 1st floor together can form an apartment. We are already having connections laid for the kitchen, washing machine, and so on, and upstairs we have also planned a sub-distribution box for the electrical system.
Right next to the box, an intercom system is to be installed. Currently, it should be used so that we don’t have to run all the way downstairs from upstairs when the doorbell rings there, but can also answer from upstairs. In the future, it will then serve as an intercom system for the front door.
Now the question is how to implement this best. On the ground floor and first floor, we can actually go straight to the door - but in the long term, an intercom system should of course also be installable there - so should we do it now? Or just prepare for it? We don’t need video.
Our architect suggested [Zülpicher Edelstahldesign] as an attachment. There is also the B5, which at 500€ including audio is still quite reasonable in price - but it only has 1x audio. There is also a version with 2 doorbells but then only without an audio system.
That’s why we had the idea of maybe separating the mailbox and doorbell and already installing a two-family house doorbell. A mailbox can then be hung separately and later easily added or replaced. Do you have recommendations for systems with audio?
