We chose them too. So far we are satisfied. They are also dyed through, which I consider important and unfortunately have already noticed in real life. However, we paid €18 and not €30 – so also an inexpensive tile.

Just make sure to get samples. We had our tile as a sample on-site and also knew it beforehand in the already installed condition. That's really a big difference.

We were also searching for a long time for the "right" tile in wood look for us. The entire ground floor (90sqm) will be covered with it.

In the end, we decided on one from Porcelanosa. Color tone Manhatten Maple. But it is also available in oak. It was the only "wood tile" where we both immediately said: "This is it!"

With most of the cheaper ones we looked at, the "pattern" was either blurry or too smooth. Plus, rounded edges resulting in wider joints. That always created a "tried and failed" effect.

Formats are available in 180cm and 120cm length. We chose the 180cm version in 2 different widths (30cm and I think 20cm width).

List price €75/sqm. It's not exactly cheap, but I will be walking on it for decades.

Hey. So I also searched for a long time for a nice tile and think that longer tiles (160 or 180 cm) look really beautiful. You have to keep in mind that with tiles compared to wood there is always the grout, even if it is narrow. These are usually retouched out in the high-gloss catalogs. And with larger formats the whole thing looks a bit fancier because the pattern is not interrupted by many joints. At least that's what we noticed and it was decisive for choosing a rather long tile. The color of the grout also makes a big difference.

Take a look at the Provoak Provenza Quercia (feels good and looks very classy).
Or Aequa Silva. Just google it, I don't remember the manufacturer offhand. But definitely see it live. In photos you can't tell that this tile has quite strong transverse grooves, a slightly used or vintage look or whatever you want to call it. Like an older wooden beam that has been scratched on a bit. You have to like that.

They also come in many different formats.

Which I also find very interesting is the Ragno Woodtale Miele or Ragno Woodtale Nocciola. It has quite strong dark “knot grain” markings. But I think it only comes up to 120 cm length.

Best regards

And in the showrooms, the tiles are usually only laid and not grouted. This creates a very misleading impression and afterwards one wonders why it looks different.

I would especially pay attention to wood-look tiles not having "rounded" edges, that is, being "calibrated" (I think that's what it's called).
