LED's, which light color have you chosen?

Curly, as you read, you have to follow your own preferences somewhere. My husband wanted "dim" light everywhere because he finds it cozier. But I mostly want "work light." I can also create coziness with side lamps and then even have nice decoration. For example, we don't eat in the kitchen, and thanks to the Thermomix and Pampered Chef Stoneware, cooking and eating have become a completely different story for us. It doesn't have to look appetizing in the usual sense because it tastes good anyway without much effort. In the bathroom, as already mentioned, there is a high blue component. You have to like that. Something like that always wakes me up immediately and then I have problems falling asleep. At first, we wanted to stick to dim light, but we'll probably look for something a bit brighter. For nights, all will probably get small lamps by the bed that you can take with you; those will be enough for a toilet visit. It's simplest for the kids, and we always have to go through the living room, where something can always be in the way with the children. The idea only came up because of the kids and has saved me more than once. In the living room, we have very bright light because everything is done there. Eating, folding laundry, paperwork, etc. For cozy time, we have a side lamp and also bought power strips with remote control so we can conveniently turn them on and off from the sofa; otherwise, the light in the hallway is also used as indirect light. Very practical for us, which simply depends on the room layout/design. You first have to consider your personal wishes and then the environment. As I said, because of the kitchen lamp, we even saved the garden lamp. It was clear to us from the start that it would give us some light and that we wouldn't have to worry so much, but we were quite surprised that it completely replaced the garden light. But also here simply the position of the windows (1st floor and centered in the garden) and the general brightness. Sometimes I think the neighbors would hate us for the lamps if the relatively large trees didn’t provide some shielding :-o

I am just imagining a nice dry-aged rib-eye, steamed in the Thermomix. Delicious. Can it also roll sushi?

Steak is quickly seared in the pan and then steamed. By the way, it actually turns out very well. However, I prefer the oven without a pan and Thermomix ;-) for most meats. It’s more like grilled and requires the least amount of work. Knowing how, good food doesn’t have to mean a lot of work ;-) He can’t roll sushi yet, but that’s not a problem, because I have a Sushi Maker. Oh, you really picked the right thing there, the sushi mat and I will never be friends. I don’t have many kitchen hacks, but I do have one for exactly that :-D

Please steam first and then fry/grill. The crust will thank you :) By the way, the light doesn't matter.

[emoji33] I am very confused by many statements.

The simplest: LEDs are not a cure-all; they cannot necessarily, for example, replace halogen. But you can also screw LED bulbs into small side lamps... I think something else is meant here with LEDs. The same applies to cooking and food preparation. Everyone who has ever taken part in a TM consultation knows that the recipes are very bland—and the eye gets no feast here unless you like shredded or mushy food.

Why don't you have such socket lights for the night so you don't trip or a lamp with 1.5W in the living room corner that can burn all night?

Right, first steam, then fry. :-D I’m probably already too spoiled by oven meat :-D

Thanks for the "clarification" here, it wasn’t about LED specifically but meant generally, but tomorrow I’ll first try replacing the bulbs in the living room string lights with LEDs... :-D Since I already have a successor to the TM21, I’m luckily not having any consistency problems. Anyone who has a TM knows that they have no guidance [emoji85] I wouldn’t call a lack of salt "bland," it is salt after all, but like light, everything is in the eye of the beholder (or on the taster’s tongue?) But to even have the problem, you have to first cook according to the recipe and it has to be a Vorwerk recipe.

Plug-in lights just don’t seem fitting in this apartment. For example, my daughter only has one socket, we put the power strip on a shelf, so the ceiling would constantly be lit, you have to like that, I don’t. The same in our bedroom, apart from the fact I can’t sleep when anything is brighter than "I can no longer see my hand in front of my face." :-/ I would have solved the problem in the living room, but still have to go through a dark hallway (which has no socket) and into a dark bathroom, unless I want to be blasted awake by the light there. But it could also be that I’m damaged by plug-in lights. My father also thinks they’re totally great. But if you have had something like that in the hallway for 15 years and still have to turn on a way-too-bright light in the bathroom, I think even Forrest Gump would eventually question the point. And being lit up like that seems unnecessary to me (no matter how few watts they have), I don’t need it, so why use it. But again, preferences and ways of life come into play. My father goes to the bathroom at least once a night. I can count on one hand how often I have to go at night in a year.
