Laundry chute - Hygiene? How to keep it clean

Yes, I do not understand the concerns either.

It should be clear that no other contaminated stuff is thrown in there. The world is unfortunately not foolproof. But work is being done on it, otherwise there's nothing else to do.

How much laundry do you hang up, please? 90% goes in the dryer for us. Done.

Somehow I can't quite believe that such a chute wouldn't turn into a bacteria breeding ground over time...

then I guess I will prefer to carry the laundry basket down instead of just up (there's no way you can call it dragging) anyway. Going down is easier than going up

How often do you disinfect your laundry baskets? You carry the dirty laundry down with them. Then it goes into the clean room, gets pressure washed, treated with Sagrotan, and then the clean sterile laundry goes in? Or do you, little scruffy, put the clean laundry in the same basket as the dirty?

The dirty laundry goes into the chute. Even if gangrene itself lives in there, I don't care. There's a lid on top, the basement is below.
