We have a new one and I obviously have sensitive stuff. I don't dry anything in it anymore. And drying means drying to me. Either the laundry is hung up fresh from the machine or dried and put in the cupboard.
You see, the dryer has already taught you how to use it, without even reading the manual. Maybe some things would still fit if you had done that beforehand... but hey! You never stop learning. 60 minutes pre-program, then hang up. That's the motto. The clothes are then fluffier, lint-free, and slightly dried, and you save 4-6 liters of water per load that goes into the drain instead of the air. My mom has been doing it that way for 35 years, and so do I, and so has my wife's mom... No idea how anyone comes up with the idea to dry the cupboard. The last bit of water, the most musty, uses the most electricity and is also the hottest.
