Hello dear ones,

now that our house construction is completed, I could really use some input again, as we are a bit clueless/without ideas.

Over the weekend we will have an excavator again for a few weeks, and the carport and a dry stone wall are to be realized.

At the time, we thought we would implement it as shown on the site plan. Now, in practical life, we don't find that so great anymore :-(

The carport area in the north is also meant to serve as wind and sound protection to the north and a construction site container (3x6m) is to be integrated.

On the site plan it is shown crosswise (marked as a shed) and in front of it two parking spaces... however, 5m between the house now seems too much for us. Now we thought about positioning the container lengthwise, next to it a parking space and an uncovered parking space between the house and the carport... but I'm not sure.

The whole access to the property shown on the site plan does not correspond to reality... at the moment we drive over the neighboring property below on a straight path to the house (and would perhaps like to keep that - right of way is registered..) this would also eliminate the small path from the front door to the east....

Do you have any ideas? We can't move closer to the northern boundary (and it is not necessary), but we can't shift further down (east) either. (Turning area for agricultural "heavy-duty" traffic...)

Yes, it will be integrated into the carport and clad with wood so that it will no longer be recognizable as such. It is my husband's former office container and still has windows on the other side.

Since there really wasn't any input here either, we decided to "just get started." First, the Europallet in front of the door was tackled.

For this, we collected a lot of street paving stones and edge stones that were to be used. On Christmas Eve, we got started and during the holidays we finally had a proper entrance to the house.

However, the moss-covered stones still need to be cleaned. And the actual doorstep stone, weighing nearly a ton, was truly a logistical challenge.... Participants: builder (male), builder (female), and an excavator along with a mortar machine....

This has become an individual and beautiful work. This interplay could be resumed in the paving of the driveway.
