also here a little update:

the paths around the house are paved.... but that's about it.... if you do everything on the side while working full-time, you don't really make progress. however, at least some of the construction site character has meanwhile disappeared....

Pictures of the paving work... in the meantime there was still time for a small rose "arch"... and a hedge planting (to keep away the miserable wind)

thanks... but somehow there’s still way too much "sterile" (lawn) area :-(

the plant stuff is just so ridiculously expensive and I also have a small (rather big) vole problem.. I basically had to start almost from scratch again this year

Did you pave that yourselves? Those are very nice stones around the house. I assume those are natural stones and not concrete stuff? We were too stingy for that at the last house. Or rather, it was a large area to pave, so it ended up being concrete.

Currently, we (or rather my husband) are busy with building the carport. Since the trees first had to be cut down and taken to the sawmill, it took some time here as well. The minimal goal (roof on before winter) has at least been achieved.
