No, he parks quite close to the passage. It would then have to be controlled in such a way that the gate only opens from the outside photoelectric barrier when the mower is on the move. But I just realized that the simplest thing is probably a push button at the charging station that is pressed as long as the mower is in the charging station. When the button is released, the gate opens (as soon as the mower leaves the station) and only closes again when the button is pressed (the mower drives back into the station). This is probably even the simplest and most fail-safe solution! Good that we talked about it :D

I'll come back to the carport again ;)

I would definitely leave the entrance area clear and push the carport back as far as possible so that the front door and a part behind it remain free. As far as possible. It's tight anyway, but you need space in front of the entrance door and no scratches on the vehicle ;)
Even if the car is supposed to stand in the carport, it will be tight to push the bikes past it.

Is there a possibility to put a garden shed to the left of the driveway at the front, i.e., in front of the house? That would simultaneously serve as a privacy screen for the south garden, and no car would disturb the children while maneuvering. :)

Our neighbors, who also have a south-north property, have all placed the carport at the front boundary. So without a driveway, only with a footpath passing to the left of the carport to the front door.
However, I personally don't like it very much when the front door is covered by a building structure.

If the front of the property in the south is large enough, it also makes sense to position the carport crosswise, with the driveway where it is, only then the driveway into the carport turned 90 degrees. It then offers privacy in length, you forego a long driveway, and can design the garden more individually.

Placing the carport right at the beginning of the property unfortunately isn’t possible either. The building window is centered on the property. A 5m strip behind the house (planting requirement) must not be built on, and 5m in front as well. The property is only 370 sqm, so there isn’t much space left. But the idea of the garden house in front might be something to consider.
Not much should go into the storage room either. Mainly the children’s bikes and the lawnmower. Although my husband wouldn’t mind a robotic mower ;)
We still have a basement where stuff that isn’t used daily can be stored.
Our neighbor built his house very differently. Garage directly attached to the house and the entrance on the south side. We never thought of that idea. It doesn’t look bad at all, but now it’s too late.

Then I would relocate the storage shed or tool shed to the left of the driveway in front of the house. It should also be possible outside the building window. Door facing the driveway or towards the house with maneuvering clearance. It would also serve as some privacy screen towards the garden :)

Quick response from on the go :)
