I took up the suggestion with the 2-storeys and looked at floor plans of 145-160sqm designs on the websites of various providers (Scanhaus Marlow Marlow, Danhaus, Gussek, Danwood). At first, there was nothing that immediately appealed to me or would work. This is probably mainly because the ground floor area is rather smaller, which somehow no longer fits with the office + utility room + pantry.

Attached are the designs from the first orientation meeting. The kitchen is quite small due to the pantry. At the moment, it certainly wouldn’t bother me, but in the long term?

It's just a typical GU floor plan. I would definitely choose a house with a two-quarter spiral staircase that is not located at the entrance. Without an angled wall, a larger kitchen, access not from the living room, a pantry of 2-3 sqm, but more space in the shower toilet and a closet of at least 1.20. It should be considered whether the kitchen could be in the west.

In the plot. House proposal, these considerations should be met so far, see picture.

From our point of view, it had the following disadvantages:

- Entrance far from the garage
- we could not fit a pantry in
- shower bathroom downstairs is difficult

It is mainly the combination of study + pantry + shower bathroom downstairs that causes us problems.

No, I don't like it either. Does the general contractor only have slanted wall floor plans? Google around the web. Floor plans is the keyword. Danwood, Heinz von Heiden, Luxhaus, Okal-Haus, Weberhaus, Viebrockhaus, etc. They have examples

We have indeed been looking for ideas for quite some time, especially because we ourselves are terribly lacking in ideas.

We were interested in, for example:

- Lifestyle 05 GT Massahaus
- Point 154 Danwood
- Danhaus Engelsby

What exactly is wrong with the slanted walls?

Slanted walls are a crutch when something doesn't fit due to poor planning or lack of space. Besides, I don't like it when the sofa is immediately in view. There should be a bit more privacy planned. I personally prefer 90 degree corners in my house. Furniture can be placed at an angle.

However: if you like it, go for it. It's supposed to please you :) In the first example, the pantry is way too long, hence the slant...
